The Desert Botanical Garden is a 140-acre botanical garden located at 1201 N. Galvin Parkway in central Arizona. It is a popular destination for visitors looking to observe plants and flowers from a variety of cultures and eras. The botanical garden is free to visit. The Desert Botanical Garden is free to visit and offers docent-led tours, self-guided audio tours, and night tours. The Arizona Desert Zoo is located adjacent to the Desert. There are also special exhibits that feature the works of Dale Chihuly, the famous glass artist. A recent exhibition at the Arizona Botanical Gardens attracted more than 550,000 visitors. You can also see Chihuly's art work at the New York Botanical Garden, Atlanta's High Museum of Art, and Missouri Botanical Park.
It maintains a seed bank containing seeds of endangered and rare desert plant species, in cooperation with the Center for Plant Conservation. Throughout the year, the Seed Bank will be replenished with seeds of native and exotic plants, making the Garden an ideal destination for families and groups.
